9 September the ground is officially opened for a 1-0 Birmingham and District League win over against Shrewsbury Town. Attendance: 3,000.

First refreshments bars opened.

1905

Barrel roof stand built on Thackhall Street after lucrative FA Cup run . Capacity 20,000.

1910

Offices moved from Bayley Lane to Highfield Road.

1913

Ground closed for duration of war.

1915

New entrance built at King Richard Street side of ground, major pitch improvements and new terracing in preparation for League football.
