A battering ram of a centre-forward signed on a short-term contract by Micky Adams soon after his arrival in February 2005. His whole-hearted approach was ideally suited to City’s relegation scrap and he appeared in virtually every game but scored a solitary goal in a win at Watford. In 2000 he had been a £1 million signing by Leicester from Cambridge but failed to make a big impression. After leaving City he played briefly for Watford, Peterborough, Swindon, Boston, Walsall and Hereford before dropping into non league and making a handful of appearances for a variety of clubs before retiring. Launched his own brand of goalkeeping gloves after his retirement.
