
A loanee goalkeeper from Rochdale who signed for West Ham as a teenager and appeared against the Sky Blues in the 1999 FA Youth Cup final. A tall imposing figure during his spell under Micky Adams he was arguably City’s best keeper since relegation but was allowed to return to West Ham and replaced by Marton Fulop. Subsequently signed for Derby County with whom he won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in May 2007.
