A full-back who played under Micky Adams at Brighton was signed for City by Micky in August 2005 on a pay-as-you play basis for the first half of the season. He made only two starts, at home to Hull and in the League Cup at Palace, and two substitute appearances. A strong left-footed player who showed glimpses of his dead-ball abilities in his brief spell at the club, Paul had played over 300 games for Gillingham, Fulham, Brentford and Brighton before coming to Coventry. His record at his previous clubs was impressive; promotions with Fulham and Brentford and two successive promotions as champions with Brighton. In the spring of 2006 he joined Woking on a contract basis and has subsequently played for Rushden & Diamonds, Crawley Town and Bognor Regis Town.
