Another product of the club’s youth scheme in the late 1960s, the talented Welsh winger came to prominence in the FA Youth Cup run in 1970. He took time to break through to the first team and despite scoring on his debut as a substitute at Leicester and winning seven Welsh caps (five at City) he never became a regular. In 1977 he was released and moved to Wrexham with whom he enjoyed European club football during a five-year stay. Later he played for Cambridge United and Worcester City before taking over a post office at Wolvey, Leicestershire.
