A veteran goalkeeper brought in on loan from Birmingham soon after Micky Adams arrived as manager. He relieved the beleaguered Luke Steele and gave a solid look to the defence despite being sent off in a home game with Stoke City. Ian made over 300 appearances in a long career at St Andrews and was subsequently number two keeper for Leeds and Sheffield United.
