The young left-sided player was given a surprise first-team chance as a substitute in a League Cup game with Rushden and Diamonds in 2002. The former Manchester United academy player performed well in defence with several overlapping runs. He was a regular in the reserve team for most of the season and his only other appearance was as a substitute in the final game of a miserable season against Millwall.

The following season saw him go on loan to Tamworth before City released him in 2004. He then spent two years in Poland playing for a selection of clubs before returning to his native Lancashire in 2006. Since then he has played for Nelson, Chorley, Curzon Ashton, Southport and Burscough in the Blue Square North league.
