A tall goalkeeper who was signed from Blackpool as a number two to Arthur Lightening in September 1959 following an appearance in a friendly against Banik Ostrava as a ‘mystery’ goalkeeper. His only league appearance came a year later when Lightening was injured. He moved to Northampton in 1961 where he was also a reserve but within months he returned north to join Barrow and was a regular for them for several seasons. He later played for Cambridge City and now lived in the Barrow area.
