A goalkeeper signed in 1967 as cover for Bill Glazier. He had been reserve at West Ham for a number of seasons, making 15 appearances. Dickie was only at Coventry for just over a year and played three games when Glazier was injured including the shock FA Cup defeat at Tranmere. In the summer of 1968 he joined Aldershot but made only seven appearances before joining the Metropolitan Police.
