The CCFC Heritage Project team…

Jim Brown, official Coventry City Football Club historian and archivist, Jim has had numerous books published on the clubs history. Jim is the founder of the Coventry City Former Players Association (CCFPA).

Lionel Bird, published local historian Lionel has dedicated most of his life to the history of Coventry City Football Club – a true fan!

Pete Witherow, local businessman and fan Pete is dedicated to safeguarding the archives and the history of Coventry City Football Club for future generations to enjoy.
Mission statement
- To protect, preserve and promote the history of the club and its historical items and share with the clubs supporters.
Objectives
- To work alongside Coventry City FC and other parties to achieve the mission statement.
- To place the archive collection in an independent charitable trust to protect it in the future.
- To work towards having space at the Coventry Building Society Arena for an archive room and museum.
- To sort, catalogue and store the existing archive collection.
- To form a Heritage Project Team to manage the project.
- To raise funds by various means including donations, grants, club support etc.
- To use funds for the purchase of rare items, storage materials, repair trophies and digitise some of the collection.
- To begin to raise the awareness of the clubs history by various means including events, supporters clubs, media etc.
- To encourage donations and loans to the collection (fans, former players, etc).
- To encourage supporters to become friends of the CCFC Heritage Project.
